Relationship Counselling
Couples counselling can be both challenging and rewarding for both partners. My aim is to provide an environment of safety and trust in which a couple can reflect on and expand their relationship with each other. This will include exploring individuality, similarities and differences, conflicts, effective communication and sexual connection.
Personal relationships are part of what we value most in life, and it takes courage to seek help for a problem when it involves how you relate to another person - particularly when that person is close to you. We commonly repeat patterns of behaviour and expect a different outcome without changing what we do. I see couples and individuals who want things to be different in their relationships, and I believe there are ways of working through issues that make it easier to accept, change and enrich your life.
There are many reasons for seeking relationship counselling, and if your problems involve any of the following then it is possible that a spell of relationship therapy may help you:
- Communication difficulties/arguments
- Domestic abuse
- Affairs
- Jealousy
- Commitment anxiety
- Survivor of sexual abuse
- Infertility
- Seperation or divorce
- Bereavement
- Anxiety or depression
- New relationships following divorce
- Step parenting
If you would like to know more about how relationship therapy or couples counselling might help you, please phone or email me to discuss your specific needs and to arrange a free initial session.
